Chilli Chicken
Ingredients:
- Boneless chicken - 1/2 kg
- Chopped ginger - 1 tsp
- Chopped garlic - 1 tsp
- Onion - 1 small, cubed
- Green chilli - 2, slit lengthwise
- Capsicum cubed- 1/2 cup
- Soy sauce - 3 tbsp
- Tomato sauce - 1.5 tbsp
- Red chilli sauce - 1 tbsp
- Corn flour - 3 tbsp
- Water - 1/4 cup
- White vinegar - 2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - as needed
- Vegetable oil /canola oil -as needed
- Wash well and cut the chicken into small pieces.Add 2.5 tbsp of cornflour, 1 tsp of soy sauce and enough salt to chicken. Mix well and shallow fry them.
- Heat oil in a pan and add chopped ginger and garlic. Saute till the raw smell is gone.
- Add in cubed onion , slit green chilli, salt and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- To this, add red chilli sauce, tomato sauce, white vinegar and remaining soy sauce.Mix well.
- Next, add in cubed capsicum and cook for 1-2 minutes.Do not overcook it.
- Finally, add in fried chicken pieces .Add 1/2 tsp corn flour dissolved in 1/4 cup water and mix everything well.
- Sprinkle 1/2 tsp pepper powder . Switch off the flame and transfer to a serving bowl.
