Cauliflower Pepper Masala

Ingredients:

  1. Cauliflower florets - 2 cups
  2. Onion - 2 , sliced
  3. Tomato - 1 , chopped
  4. Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
  5. Green chilli - 2 
  6. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  8. Coriander powder - 2 tsp
  9. Garam masala - 1 tsp
  10. Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  11. Crushed black pepper - 2 tsp
  12. Curry leaves - 1 spring
  13. Oil - 1.5 tbsp
  14. Salt - as needed
Preparation:

  • Wash the cauliflower florets and boil them adding  salt and turmeric powder until it becomes soft .Drain water and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan . Add sliced onion ,salt,  ginger garlic paste , green chilli and curry leaves; saute till it turns golden brown.
  • Add all the spice powders except crushed pepper and fry for few seconds.
  • Add in chopped tomatoes and cook till it becomes soft.
  • To this, add the cooked cauliflower florets along with crushed black pepper and mix gently.Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Switch off the flame.Serve with rice, chapatis etc.
