Veg Pizza
Ingredients:
For dough:
- All purpose flour/Maida - 2.5 cups
- Warm water - 1 cup
- Active dry yeast - 2 tsp
- Sugar - 1 tbsp
- Olive oil - 2 tbsp
- Garlic powder - 2 tsp
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Flour - for dusting
For sauce:
- Tomatoes - 4
- Chopped onion - 1/2 cup
- Chopped garlic - 1 tsp
- Olive oil - 1 tbsp
- Italian seasoning - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli flakes - 1/2 tsp
- Sugar - 1/2 tsp
- Cheese - 2 tbsp
- Salt - as needed
- Onion cubed - 1/2 cup
- Capsicum sliced - 1/2 cup
- Tomato - 1, chopped
- Mozzarella cheese - 1 cup
- Olive oil - 1 tsp
- Salt - 1/4 tsp
Dough:
- Dissolve yeast in warm water and set aside for 10 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, mix together flour, salt, sugar, garlic powder and olive oil.
- Add in the yeast mixture little by little and knead into a smooth and soft dough.
- Cover it and let rise in a warm place for 2-3 hours until doubled.
- Punch it down and dust with some flour.Flatten it with hands from the center towards outer edges on a floured pizza pan.
- Add tomatoes in boiling water and cook for 10 minutes.
- Peel off the skin and blend until smooth; set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and add chopped garlic.Saute for few seconds.
- Add in chopped tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add pureed tomato and bring to boil.When it gets boiled, add rest of the ingredients and mix well.Switch off the flame.
- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients except cheese and set aside.
Preparing the pizza:
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly on the prepared dough.
- Top it with the vegetables.
- Sprinkle cheese on top .
