Nankhatai
Ingredients:
- All purpose flour/Maida - 1 cup
- Semolina/Rava - 1 tbsp
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Ghee/melted unsalted butter - 1/2 cup
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
- Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - a pinch
- Almonds - as needed
- Powder sugar and cardamom together and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, sieve maida, baking powder and salt.Add semolina and mix well.
- To this, add ghee/melted butter and powdered sugar mixture to form a soft dough .Do not add water.
- Make equal sized small balls out of it. Flatten them softly and press an almond on top.Transfer to a lined baking tray.
- In a 350 F preheated oven,bake for 15 to 20 minutes or till golden brown .
