Chicken Roll
Ingredients:
For stuffing :
- Cooked and shredded chicken - 2 cups
- Chopped onion - 1 cup
- Chopped ginger and garlic - 2 tsp
- Green chilli - 1 , chopped
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tsp
- Garam masala - 1 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
- Maida/ All purpose flour - 1.5 cups
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
- Salt - to taste
- Egg whites - 2, beaten
- Bread crumbs -1 cup
Preparation:
Stuffing:
- Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped ginger and garlic .Saute for a minute.
- Add chopped onion, chopped green chilli , enough salt and saute again till the onion becomes translucent.
- Add in red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Fry for few seconds.
- To this add the shredded chicken along with pepper powder. Stir for 2 -3 minutes in low flame.
- Finally, add lemon juice and mix well. Switch off the flame.
- Mix maida, sugar and salt. Add enough water to form a batter of which is not too thick or thin.It should be similar to dosa batter.
- Heat a tawa or non stick pan and pour a ladleful of batter on it and spread in circular motion and make thin dosas.
- Place 1 or 2 tbsp of filling on the top portion of the dosa and fold all the sides.Seal the sides with some batter .
- Dip each one in beaten egg white and roll in breadcrumbs.
- Deep fry them in hot oil until golden brown.
- Serve with tomato ketchup or any sauce of your choice.
