Milk Bread
Ingredients:
- All purpose flour/Maida - 2.5 cups
- Active dry yeast - 2 tsp
- Warm Milk - 1 cup
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
- Salt - 1/4 tsp
- Melted Butter - 2 tbsp + for brushing on top
- In a bowl combine together yeast and milk.Set aside for 10 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, mix together all purpose flour, 2 tbsp butter, sugar and salt.Add in milk -yeast mixture and knead gently to form a soft dough.Cover and let it rise in a warm place until doubled, for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased baking tray.Cover and keep it in a warm place for 30 minutes.It should get doubled in size.
- Bake it for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown at 375 F .Remove from oven and brush melted butter on top.Let it cool for some time.Slice and serve.
