Kerala Style Spicy Prawn Roast
Ingredients:
- Cleaned Prawns - 2 cups
- Onion sliced - 1
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Green chilli - 1
- Kashmiri chilli powder - 1.5 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves - 1 spring
- Oil - 1.5 tbsp
- Salt - to taste
- Heat oil in a pan.Add the sliced onion and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add the ginger garlic paste and saute for another 2 to 3 minutes.
- Next add the green chillies and salt. mix well.
- When the onion turns golden brown,reduce the flame to low and add kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder,coriander powder and garam masala and fry for few seconds.
- To this add the cleaned prawns and curry leaves.Cover and cook in medium heat for about 10 minutes or until done.Do not over cook the prawns.
- Taste - check for salt. Finally add the pepper powder and mix well.Switch off the stove.
