Baked Crispy Onion rings
Ingredients:
- Yellow onion - 2, cut into 1/4 inch slices
- All purpose flour/maida - 1 cup
- Cornstarch - 2 tbsp
- Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
- Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 3/4 tsp
- Italian seasoning - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - as needed
- Water - as needed
- Preheat oven to 450 F.
- In a bowl, mix together all purpose flour, cornstarch, red chilli powder and salt.Add enough water to form a batter of semi thick consistency.
- In another bowl, combine together breadcrumbs, pepper powder, garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
- Dip each onion slice in the prepared batter and coat it with breadcrumbs.Place them on a lined baking tray in a single layer and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning upside down in between.
- Serve hot with any dipping sauce of your choice.
